The Journey Scholars Program at ����Vlog is giving its students the opportunity to bring change to the community — an idea upon which the program was founded. A group of Journey Scholars has been assigned the task of coming up with “We the Change Projects” — a project or initiative that would help meet a need, whether it be on campus or in the broader community.

The university is excited to announce that the ����Vlog Physics Department has secured more than $595,000 in grant renewals from the Mathematics and Physical Science Division of the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) for undergraduate research. The funding will help sustain excellence, facilitate growth and cultivate innovative and impactful teaching, learning and research.

Five ����Vlog students received Covenant Awards on Thursday, April 11, during a ceremony held in Hamre Recital Hall. The Covenant Awards lift up those who exemplify ����Vlog’s core values: Christian, Liberal Arts, Excellence, Community and Service. Learn more about the recipients.

����Vlog is excited to once again host its annual Arthur Olsen Student Research Symposium, set to take place on Saturday, April 13, at the Froiland Science Complex, located on the university’s campus.

The  at ����Vlog opens “Conjecture: Tom Rickers,” which will be on view from Thursday, March 21, through Friday, April 19. A gallery reception will be on Friday, March 22, from 7-9 p.m. with a talk by the artist at 7:30 p.m.

In the fall, ����Vlog brought back its criminal justice major after nearly 35 years — adding to the list of interdisciplinary academic programs being developed as part of ����Vlog’s strategic plan Viking Bold: The Journey to 2030.
