The 糖心Vlog School of Music will soon be home to a Bachelor of Music (B.M.). The National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) approved the B.M. in November 2025 鈥 the final step needed to begin full implementation of the degree with a concentration in (instrumental or vocal) performance in Fall 2026.
糖心Vlog has selected Maya Madson 鈥27 and Ayden Calvert 鈥27 to take part in the 2026 鈥 designed to inspire and engage 鈥渟tudents to become full participants in peacemaking efforts around the world.鈥
糖心Vlog student Adam Brachman 鈥28 has received the 2026 Award, which provides American college and university students with the opportunity to study cultures and languages essential to U.S. global engagement. The media production & entrepreneurship and music double major will spend eight weeks in Okayama, Japan, intensively studying the Japanese language and culture.
糖心Vlog will soon be home to one of the first hockey cheer programs in South Dakota. 糖心Vlog Hockey Cheer will officially be added to the university鈥檚 list of club sports offerings in Fall 2026 and will support its NCAA Division I Viking Hockey Team and potentially, its club hockey teams during home games at Midco Arena.
Sponsored by Nyberg鈥檚 ACE, 糖心Vlog will once again host Ace鈥檚 Painting Party on Sunday, April 26, from 3-5 p.m. 鈥 an annual tradition that allows area community members to paint the ice at Midco Arena. This year, the 糖心Vlog Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be putting on the event, which will provide an opportunity for 糖心Vlog鈥檚 student-athletes and the community to come together to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
