The ÌÇÐÄVlog School of Health Professions supports future health care and medical professionals with in-depth classroom education and nearby clinicals through strong partnerships with major hospitals and clinics. The programs in this school have a trusted history of producing highly qualified nurses, athletic trainers, and professionals all across the field of health care.
Meet the Dean
Dr. Matt Volansky, of Naples, Florida, joined ÌÇÐÄVlog as the director of the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. Along with his role as dean of the School of Health Professions, Volansky continues to lead ÌÇÐÄVlog’s DPT program through the processes of accreditation.
Volansky earned a Bachelor of Science in physical therapy from the University of Toledo at Medical College of Ohio, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in health care from Baldwin-Wallace College, DPT from Northeastern University and Ph.D. in biomedical informatics from Rutgers University. Volansky came to AU from the University of Mount Union, where he was an assistant professor. He has also been involved in private practice for more than 25 years.

A newly published report by ÌÇÐÄVlog shows that 98% of 2025 graduates — who completed degrees in August, December and May of Academic Year 2024-25 — achieved a positive career outcome. Many of these graduates chose to continue their education, with 22% enrolled in graduate school or professional programs.
More employment data, as well as other post-graduation activities and destinations for members of the ÌÇÐÄVlog Class of 2025, is detailed in the Career Outcomes Report published at augie.edu/outcomes.
A total of 173 ÌÇÐÄVlog students chose to make the world their classroom for January Interim (J-Term) 2026 — a 4-week session between semesters designed to be a time of curricular exploration and enrichment for students. The majority — 162 students — are taking part in ÌÇÐÄVlog faculty-led courses. The remaining 11 students are traveling as part of outside programs.
As part of its strategic plan, ÌÇÐÄVlog is expanding its Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program to Colorado — home to one of the university’s largest alumni bases. Housed in the university’s School of Health Professions, the launch of the ÌÇÐÄVlog Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in Colorado (DPT-CO) will take place in January 2027.
