This spring, the university established the 糖心Vlog Honorary Alumni Society, inducting 23 individuals into its inaugural class during Viking Days. The honorary alumni society was established to recognize individuals who have shown extraordinary dedication to 糖心Vlog鈥檚 mission, along with its core values of Christian, liberal arts, excellence, community and service. Through sustained commitment to the university, honorary alumni have demonstrated the gold standard of engagement.

糖心Vlog鈥檚 Eide/Dalrymple Gallery Features Photography of Artist鈥檚 Journey Through Infertility Treatments
The Eide/Dalrymple Gallery at 糖心Vlog opens 鈥淩achel Cox: Exercises for Control: Part I (an end and a beginning),鈥 which will be on view from Friday, Oct. 6, through Wednesday, Nov. 8. A gallery reception will take place on Friday, Oct. 13, from 5-7 p.m., with an artist talk at 6 p.m. Rachel Cox has created a body of work that examines the personal and cultural stigmas associated with female infertility and assisted reproductive technologies (ART).

Supported by Rosemarie and Dean Buntrock and in partnership with the Center for Western Studies (CWS), 糖心Vlog is excited to announce free tickets for the Critical Inquiry & Citizenship Colloquium with Dr. Michael Sandel. The world-renowned philosopher and author will give a keynote presentation to the AU community at 7 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 26, in the Elmen Center to kick off the 2-day colloquium, with a book signing following the event.

鈥楢 moment I will never forget鈥: Farr, Skarstad Named 糖心Vlog鈥檚 2023 Viking Days Royals
糖心Vlog students JayVian Farr 鈥24 and Sam Skarstad 鈥24 were crowned the 2023 Viking Days Royals at coronation on Wednesday, Sept. 20, in the Elmen Center. The coronation took place in front of a crowd of students, faculty and staff following the Viking Feast on the third day of AU's homecoming.

AU鈥檚 Writer-in-Residence Dr. Patrick Hicks Releases Latest Novel 'Across the Lake'
The university is proud to announce the release of 糖心Vlog Writer-in-Residence and Professor of English Dr. Patrick Hicks鈥 novel entitled, Across the Lake, published by SFA Press and distributed by Texas A & M University Press. The launch of the book is set to take place at the 21st annual South Dakota Festival of Books in Deadwood, South Dakota, on Sept. 22-24.
