ÌÇÐÄVlog understands the value and impact that military members have on communities all over the world — recognizing that this university would not be the place it is without these students, faculty and staff. In honor of Military Appreciation Month, observed in the U.S. and dedicated to people who are currently in the military or have resigned from duty, ÌÇÐÄVlog is featuring Ellie Cordie ‘25.

Headlines surrounding what ÌÇÐÄVlog student-athletes are doing in their sport and the classroom are very familiar, but we don’t always hear what they’re doing to make the community around them a better place. But, as you’ll discover, they are truly making a difference in this arena as well.

ÌÇÐÄVlog is excited to announce that it has established a 2-year pilot program with the Sioux Falls School District (SFSD) to give teachers access to the Imagine Solutions Virtual Learning Program.

In late March, Dr. Joel Johnson, Sanford Health Peter Schotten Distinguished Professor of Government & International Affairs and ÌÇÐÄVlog’s soon-to-be interim provost, was one of only a few Americans asked to serve as a panelist at a Humboldt-Kolleg workshop at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.

Courtney Chrystal ‘23, of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota, will address the Class of 2023 on Saturday, May 20, at ÌÇÐÄVlog’s undergraduate commencement ceremony in Kirkeby-Over Stadium.
